The Challenge

We want to re-engage with previous clients, build our sales funnel and stand out as thought leaders within our industry so we’re going to start a blog and an email newsletter. It needs to be visual to stand out and reflect our brand, and work on every email client. We spent heavily on buying a list so we’ll have to do it all in-house.

Brand Style Guide

Other than a single colour the business had no style guide, so I developed a palette that would work well with the main brand colour and a flat, minimalist illustration style to reduce design time.

Template Design

With no budget for coding bespoke, responsive email design things were going to have to be simple, but effective. I created a custom email template in Campaign Monitor to bypass the need for lengthy hand coding.

Audience Engaged

Open rates and click-though was well above average and the first mailout lead to a £50k+ order from a previous client.
