Hi, I’m Dexter.
I’m a commercially minded creative consultant with over 8 years professional experience. I specialise in visual design, working from concept through to final execution, producing pixel perfect, brand aligned creative, websites and user interfaces for marketing campaigns and digital projects.
I like to take an holistic approach, looking beyond visual design to user experience, tone of voice, social media strategy and other brand indicators, and I’m constantly evaluating new technologies to better advise clients and streamline my own working practises.
When I’m not working, I produce music and DJ, and despite my name, I know nothing about blood spatter analysis.

Responsive website design for a shopper marketing agency, built on the WordPress content management system.
Logo and visual identity for an independent house/techno record label.
Print display ads for an exhibition design agency that specialised in sustainable display products. The company wanted to avoid the “hair-shirt” image that sustainable products often have in the eyes of their detractors. As their displays were paper based, Origami was selected as the core creative device: a widely known craft with a venerable history of proving that paper is what you make of it.
I act as Creative Director for London based DJ collective and party promoters OptionOne.
My input covers visual identity, digital collateral and social media content strategy.
User Interface Icons
Scaleable Vector Graphic (SVG) Icon set developed for a white label software solution. Icons are recoloured to reflect each licensee’s branding.
Working with the developer a simple admin interface was created to edit the colour value reference in the SVG’s code. Rebranding would have previously required editing the individual files in graphics software.
The icons use a single colour, with tonal variation achieved via white and black overlays set to 20% opacity, further simplifying the editing process.
In Phillip K Dick’s novel of the same name, the protagonist awakes from an accident to a world where there is only one brand for all products: “Ubik”.
Visual identity for a service which offers highly targeted, localised planning for marketing campaigns.
Responsive Website Homepage
The website homepage acts as a log-in portal for a cloud-based service for planning and booking campaigns across The Co-operative’s media estate. It also serves to sell the benefits of both the system and the media estate to new users.
Media Centre Brochure
Brochure produced for The Co-operative Media Centre, for a target audience of approximately 250 FMCG Category Managers and Buyers at conference. The short run called for digital print.
